The House Project That Keeps Growing

by | Mar 6, 2013 | Blog, Life

The original carpet installers didn’t stretch out the carpet in our bedroom, and over the years we’ve grown speed humps down the middle of the room.

Mr M decided we needed to get rid of the carpet, and since he’d installed laminate wood flooring in our son’s room (son is allergic to dust mites so this was the best solution), he decided we should get laminate wood flooring for our bedroom.

We bought the flooring. And proceeded to stack it in our dining room where it’s sat for a month.

Mr M then decided he probably needed to paint the bedroom walls before he laid down the flooring since they’ve not been painted in over a decade. So, that meant we looked at different colors and picked out a darker color for below the chair rail and a lighter color for above the chair rail. Cool.

Ah, but since the walls needed painting, that meant the ceiling also needed painting.

Mr M took a vacation day today to paint the ceiling. Great! We’re on our way to get this project done.

This afternoon he decided we needed to get rid of one of our furniture pieces and replace it with some kind of armoire.

This is never going to end, is it?
